Seeking Women in Construction for UNC Study! Receive $25!
Hope Renovations is partnering with the North Carolina Occupational Safety and Health Education and Research Center (NC OSHERC) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to conduct a research study about the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on women and racial/ethnic minority construction workers.
The study team is inviting you, as a woman in construction who has completed the Hope Renovations training program or who has been working in the profession for some time, to participate in an interview in which you will be asked questions about how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted you as a woman and/or racial/ethnic minority in the construction profession.

The study team will also ask questions about the training videos that Hope Renovations trainees viewed during the COVID-19 pandemic and whether this type of training is useful in addressing factors affecting your success in the construction industry. The study team will use what they learn to inform later training program guidance for construction companies.

You will receive a $25 gift card for taking the time to share your thoughts in an interview with the study team that will last up to 60 minutes. You have valuable and important insights about factors affecting women and racial/ethnic minorities in the construction profession. Your participation in the interview is highly appreciated and completely voluntary and will not impact your employment. The study team will keep your identity and responses during the interview confidential, and they will not have any contact with your employer.
If you would like to participate, or have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the study Principal Investigator, John Staley, at
