  • Durham City-County Development Services Center:  
    • Plan Review & Permit Turn-around Time: Submitted on 09/25/19:  Durham City-County new single family and commercial projects achieved an average of 98.73% of initial reviews within 5 working days as of last week and exceeded the department’s initial plans review time frame goal. The re-reviews turn-around time was 6 working days as of last Friday and met our plans review department’s re-review time frame goal of 5-8 working days.

      Small Project Review (SPR) is not currently meeting our goal of review in 3 working days due to volume and customer service efforts relating to the higher number of inexperienced applicants.  SPR is currently averaging 6 working days on initial review and 9-10 on re-review. We hope to have a draft SPR checklist available for your input in the coming week. This should greatly improve the quality of submittals.

      Final (Editorial peer) reviews are also behind schedule due to volume at 6 working days.

      Enhanced (scheduled meeting) review is on target as scheduled.

  • Chapel Hill Building & Development Services:
    • Plan Review- The Town of Chapel Hill has placed a moratorium on Residential Plan Reviews.  See FAQ Here.
    • Permit Turn-around Time: NOT REPORTED
