Summer Careers Academy Matching Day

Who: All eligible employers and participants (Pre-Apprentices) in the Summer Careers Academy "Building Our Future" 2023 Cohort are expected to attend.

Why: To introduce eligible employers and participants, who align in occupational areas of interest and other key criteria, and gather feedback to inform the employer/Pre-Apprentice matches for the 2023 cohort.

How: Summer Careers Academy staff will facilitate this 90-minute "Matching Day" event that will involve at least four rounds of meetings (similar to speed dating) between eligible employers and participants. Feedback cards will be used to help capture reflections and inform the mutual matching process as the Summer Careers Academy staff and steering committee develop the "Building Our Future" 2023 cohort.

What to Bring: Tabletop signage for each employer organization will be displayed. In addition, employers are encouraged to bring organization-branded fliers and materials to distribute to each prospect.
