The Triangle's premier housing economics event is teeing up something new this year! Join us at Topgolf Durham for the 2027 Triangle Housing Forecast, the data and market intelligence you count on, now paired with golf, drinks, and a little friendly competition.
This December 2, the region's builders, developers, lenders, and industry partners will gather to hear directly from two of the most respected voices in housing economics: Dr. Robert Dietz, Chief Economist at NAHB, and Stephen Kim, Head of Housing Research at Evercore ISI.Together they'll break down where interest rates, housing demand, and building costs are headed in 2027, and what it means for your business here in the Triangle.
This year, we're taking the format outside the meeting room. Expect the same sharp forecast and Q&A you've come to expect, plus swings, small plates, and networking in the golf bays before and after the presentation.

Dr. Robert Dietz - NAHB Chief Economist
Robert Dietz, Ph.D., is Chief Economist for NAHB, where his responsibilities include housing market analysis, forecasting and industry surveys, and housing policy research. Prior to joining NAHB in 2005, Dr. Dietz worked as an economist for the Congressional Joint Committee on Taxation. He has testified before Congress on housing, economic and tax issues and is an expert on home construction analysis and trends. He has been cited and appeared on CNBC, the Wall Street Journal and other news media. Dr. Dietz is a native of Dayton, Ohio and earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the Ohio State University.
Stephen Kim – Sr. Managing Director, Evercore ISA
Stephen Kim is a senior managing director and head of Evercore ISI’s Housing Research Team. Mr. Kim is ranked No. 1 on Institutional Investor’s 2022 All-America Research Team for homebuilders & building products and has been in the premier spot every year since 2016. His work focuses on national housing demographics, building products manufacturing and distribution, and emerging trends across both the new and resale housing markets; he coined the term “iBuyer” in 2017.
