Important Update: COVID-19, Stay at Home Order, Job Safety & Call to Action for Donations

Yesterday Durham’s Mayor, Steve Schewel, issued a Stay at Home declaration, which goes into effect today at 6pm.  Orange County will be issuing their Stay at Home declaration later today.  In both orders, Building and Construction was listed as a critical trade and is deemed exempt from this order.  It was brought to my attention that a number of positive cases were construction crews from the same worksite.  I have not confirmed this to be true, but the fact that it is a rumor floating around could impact our industry’s status as exempt, so it is of EXTREME IMPORTANCE that all construction crews follow the mandated social distancing requirements.
