Be recognized as a High Performance Home Builder by entering the Green Home Tour.

UPDATED INFO! We realize that some builders prefer a traditional in-person tour (with social distancing protocol), while other builders prefer to participate virtually. To accommodate both, the rate is $700 for any entry (special discounted rate available for 2020 participants for their first entry).

Newly constructed homes (and remodel projects) that are being certified through the following green certification programs are eligible:

Projects must demonstrate 3rd Party verified compliance with a high-performance home program, including but not limited to:

o Energy Star for Homes
o NGBS (National Green Building Standard)
o LEED for Homes
o ecoSelect
o DOE Zero Energy Ready Home
o Environments for Living
o Passive House
o HERS (Home Energy Rating Score) w Solar designed to offset a minimum of 80% of total electricity use (net-zero and net zero ready homes); If solar is not installed then a solar quote must be provided as part of the marketing materials demonstrating a home is "net-zero ready";
o Other 3rd Party verified program that demonstrates the builder’s commitment to building a healthy-built, energy-efficient home.
